Following their 2018 album “Visions of Selam”, Arat Kilo are back with “Danama”.
While the group’s roots remain in Ethio-jazz, their new album also explores different sounds, from English 2-step to New Orleans brass bands. And the dialogue between Mamani Keita’s song of hope and the social criticism of American MC and poet Mike Ladd is as powerful as ever.

ORIANE LACAILLE DELIVERS A COLLECTION OF INSPIRED SONGS

Oriane Lacaille, singer-songwriter and percussionist from Reunion Island, releases her first album under her own name. With the gentleness of nursery rhymes or the ardour of trance, she sings of her joys and angers on “iViV”, which marks the blossoming of her Creole path. It’s a collection of songs performed with the help of her accomplices, who make up her trio on stage, as well as inspiring guests: Piers Faccini, Leyla McCalla, Laura Cahen, Loy Ehrlich and her father, accordionist René Lacaille.
